Do you think official site will get a facelift?
They did this for Factions... any ideas?

We're working on content, not any major redesign. We like the way the site looks now. We just want more content, so we're working on Factions updates, FAQ updates, new features, and a whole lot more.
Your thoughts on website content are always welcome.

One thing that realy bugs me off (as an user stand point) is that the ladder is still hosted on the old layout!!!
Even thought I understand (as a designer stand point) that recoding some of the server side language is needed, a professional site like Guild Wars is supposed to be, could not let this get away.
Also, just look on other GW official sites arround the world, they have SOOOO much more content then the US conterpart that is overwhelming. ALL skills listed properly, ALL the map whith regions and history of each continent. HA "update" so you can see on the internet who got the favor w/out entering the game itself. And other things like that...
I would also LOVE to see some updates statiscs online. How much users we have, how much servers, how much people online, and things like that. I know it is not hard to do and it is a nice addition. OOO yes, and another REALY nice addition would be a "server status" that is actualy UPDATED!!!! Last time the servers where down NOTHING where even mentioned in there!
That said, I actualy like the layout itself. Its simple and effective, yet intuitive and whith a well designed grid of information. But the content realy lacks and the ladder thing is horrible.
Latter.

If they can put Favor status online, could they put the Luxon/Kurzick battleline status online?

Drives me nuts, too. We had a fix this week so it looks cohesive -- maybe we just need to sync to make it live. We have ... let's just say more surprises for the ladder soon.

"Soon" is most likely the only real answer your gonna get. Its the magic filler to the Anet foggywall sandwich.

Aunty Gaile said in a recent reply that they had hired a webdesigner or something to get on the task of, actually... updating... the content. *shifts impatiently*
This must've been about a month or two ago?
The skills list on their site, must be relative to pre-ascalon, because they show little signs of "nerfmanship", so they need to be updated. Actually I was taking a look at the EU website and their gameplay section, even theirs is more updated than www.guildwars.com.

I like the design, but it would be really nice if the website displayed correctly on all browsers and not only on IE.
Edit:
Examples:
Opera: http://img72.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gwoperazb0.jpg
Camino: http://img78.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gwcaminorz0.jpg
The event page: http://img242.imageshack.us/my.php?i...weventsvq1.jpg
The error looks similar on all the browsers it doesn't work ( also others i didn't screenshot ). Please fix it. The web relies on standards, would be nice if the gw website did that, too.
Some pages, like game update notes or events, are almost unreadable, because the overlay occludes a lot of the text. I do like Eve, but i'd like to read the content, too

I'm anticipating ladders for Factions will be added. This would include listing alliances in control of towns, top teams for challenge missions, etc...
Am I right Gaile?
These are additions to the website I've been yearning for since May. It would make Factions a more fulfilling game to play to have this website integration.

I wonder if ladder site should be upgraded to show guild/player info (as a profile). I think it could be benificial, but reasons elude me somehow.

I like the current design of guildwars.com
Not too flash, well organized, and looks nice.
